Growing up I was a summer child through and through. Always tan, always spending time soaking up the sun. When you live in Ohio, you really treasure those sunny days. I took full advantage. Flashforward, I actually got my start in the sunless industry 15 years ago working at my local tanning salon. However, little did I know, I was doing serious damage to my skin between sunny summer days, and daily 30 minute (YES, 30) sessions in the tanning bed. After educating myself on just how harmful tanning beds and UV exposure can be, I got my first spray tan. From that point on, I became completely obsessed with learning all there is to know about spray tans and skin wellness. 

 

After moving to Medina 7 years ago, I saw a missing piece in the market for a customizable, elevated, and expertly applied sunless experience. I wanted to create something unique to the area. Unfortunately, at the time, Aureum Tan was just a dream I had to tuck away until I could accumulate the time, resources, knowledge, and expertise needed to launch something I was truly proud of. Que sleepless nights, endless amounts of product research, 3 Master Spray Tanning Certifications, and a lot of trial and error, but Aureum Tan is now a reality. Aureum Tan is a reflection of my own personal style. It is a brand that recognizes and appreciates art and aesthetic, but never compromises on quality, attention to detail, and providing my clients the best spray tan experience.

The meaning behind the name? The word Aureum (pronounced /or·e·um/) translates to gold (shining, glittering, beautiful, splendid, magnificent) in Latin. My mom's staple accessory and style signature has always been gold jewelry. She believes a gold accessory is warm, classic, and timeless, and I couldn't agree more. She is my muse, and inspiration. She has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Creating a brand that reflects a small piece of her elegance holds incredible meaning to me. In choosing a brand name, I knew I wanted something that was unique and elevated, but also sentimental and meaningful. Providing a tan that encompasses everything Aureum stands for, both literally and figuratively, is what my passion is. It is my hope that an Aureum Tan will be your new favorite accessory.
